Photo Essay

 My name is Josephine Hong and I am going to write and post some pictures. I took this picture during August 5 to August 12. 
Monday:
    It was the first day of taking   
pictures. I like this one because it is colourful.


 Tuesday:
     This is second day of taking pictures. At that time, class 5 and 6 played golf together.


 Wednesday:
      It was the third day of taking pictures.
I like this picture because of it's angle.


 

 Thursday:
     On August 8, it was Catherine's birthday. So, after lunch, Alice, Lidya, and I secretly went down to dorm and made a cake with chocolate pie. It was very fun. Catherine looked happy.



 Friday:
    It was the fifth day of taking pictures.
 This picture reminded me of Jia. She is my best friend. Because after I sent this picture to her, she said she is going to Vietnam for 1 year. I can think about her when I see this picture.


 Saturday:
 It was the last time for studying history in Saturday. This picture is for celebrating. Only one week left! Yes!

 Sunday: 
     On this Sunday, the movie club watched a movie named Happy Feat.
It was boring. 

Even I go back to my normal life, I won't forget how I spend 3rd week of GLPS. 
 

Bucket List

    Hello this is Josephine Hong. I watched a video about a bucket list. People were doing what they want to do before they die. So, I am going to make a bucket list too.

1.
I want to visit Switzerland. 
  Because Switzerland is my favourite country. I like Switzerland because of Alps.

2.
I want to "glamp" on the tree. Glamping is sort of camping.
Since I was young, I wanted to live in a  tree house.

3.
I want to travel all around the world. If I am really sick, I will visit Switzerland first. Next, I will go to Canada and England.

4.
I want to visit Ice Hotel in Quebec. I think it is very cool to sleep in the ice bed.

5. I want to visit Hollywood. Because in the movie called "Percy Jackson And The Lightening Thief", Percy found the entrance of the underworld in Hollywood. I really want to visit there.

 6. I want to write a book and publish it. When I was young, I wanted to be a novelist. Now, my dream have been changed, but I still want to write a book.

7. 
Before I die, I want to read at least a million books. My hobby is reading books. I like any kind of books but, I love fantasy books. I really want to read a lot of books and have more knowledge than now.

8. 
I want to do skydiving before I die. I like to fall from high place. I want to Bungee-jump too, but I think skydiving is cooler then Bungee-jumping.

9. When I become very old, I think I will be lonely. That's why I want to have a dog. Especially, I want to have a big dog like a Golden Retriever. Since I was young, I wanted to have big dogs like Jindo dog, Golden Retriever or Husky.

 10.
Lastly, the last thing in the bucket list is skating in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Don't you think it is super cool?
When it is warm, Netherlands people can use the canal as a ship road. When winter comes, they can use the canal as a skating road. I'm not really good at skating, but I really want to try this.

 These were 10 things what I want to do before I die, or bucket list.

Wonderland Adventures

In Wonderland, many fantasy animals live together. Unicorns, elves, dwarfs, fairies, Pegasuses  Greek gods, and few humans live in Wonderland. It is as big as North America and many rain forests are in Wonderland. Capital city is Olympia, east part of Wonderland.  Greek gods rule whole country, and every creatures live in mushroom house or tree house. Elves and fairies live in the Wonderland 50%, and dwarfs and unicorn live 45%, humans and Pegasuses live only 5%. There is only one school, 4~7 hospitals and 10 post office all around the Wonderland.

In Wonderland, humans are more rare then Pegasuses. If human born, they got special power from gods. There are only about 25 humans in entire Wonderland citizen  And our main character, Emma is human too.

         Our main character, Emma Engelheart born to be a solider. She is awesome in archery and sword fighting. She is thirteen years old, and she is in Wonder school. She is almost graduated.  Emma has secret power like other humans. She can heal any alive things. Emma and her family live in huge tree house. Her mom is journalist, Dad is major of Emma's village, and her older sister is middle school students.

         When she wake up in the morning she can always smell the pancakes and maple-syrup. After she ran down stairs, she sit on the chair and eat pancakes with Jennifer Engelheart, her older-sister, Katherine Engelheart, her mother, and Ian Engelheart, her father. Jennifer and Mom are fairies, Dad is elf, and Emma is human. Emma's case is very rare. If fairy and elf got baby, it is mostly elf or fairy but, really rarely, human can be born too. Jenny and Katherine have wings which can fly, and Ian has strength and intelligent head. Unfortunately, Emma don't has strength or intelligent or wings, but she is brave as a lion, and has secret healing power. And Emma has deep, big eyes. However, it was foggy and cloudy day, Emma felt very unlucky. Something was  definitely wrong. Absolutely .. Suddenly, Emma heard something crashed.

BUMP!! She grabbed her sword and ran outside. It was very foggy outside. She looked shocked. There was huge dragon sitting on her school. Every creatures screamed and running away. They looked scared and injured. Emma have seen baby dragon. It made huge scar on her leg. However, that dragon was huge! Emma was very brave. So, she jumped to the dragon and hit with her own sword. Suddenly, dragon turned around and spout fire to her. Fire missed her but, she got fire on her leg. She screamed. "Emma!!" After listened someone shouted her name, she fainted.

 The Wizard of Oz
     On July 27th, we watched the movie called "The Wizard of Oz". Teacher said this movie was made in 1939. It is about 80 years old! This movie is a very old movie. The main characters are Dorthy, ToTo, Tin-man, Scared Crow, Cowardly Lion, Glinda the Witch of the North, Wicked Witch of the West, and the Wizard of Oz. In this movie, Dorthy and ToTo was lifted from Kansas because of the tornado to Munchkin Land, and Dorthy travels with her friends to go back to Kansas.

      The movie was terrible. It wasn't the worst movie ever to me, but it was still horrible. I have 3 reasons why I hate "The Wizard of Oz". Firstly, it is because of the Computer Graphics (CG). As I said, this movie was made in 1939. Maybe it is too old and classic for us. Secondly, the costumes and acting were horrible. The actors acted horribly. Overall, the costumes were bad, but especially the Cowardly Lion's costume was like a dirty towel from a bathroom. And the lip-syncing was bad. We definitely found out they were lip-syncing. Dorthy's "Over the Rainbow" was too bad. Lastly, the story was way too obvious. Every student in our class knew the whole story. I was half-sleeping and half-watching.

     I don't mind if you really want to watch this movie. But, I am not recommending it to you. Thank you for visiting my blog.

                 
 The Three Goal

                Hi, nice to meet you. Have you ever had any goals? There's something called a 30 day challenge. It means  something that you want to achieve in 30 days. Then, what is a goal? A goal is something  you want to achieve, for example my friend Jia's 30 day challenge was traveling to Vietnam. She achieved it!! Actually she was going to live there for 1 year, but I don't know if I need to say that she accomplished it or not. However, I have 3 goals to achieve in 30 days. My first goal is making at least 3 friends. There are 2 steps. First, I need to talk with them. Next, I will change issues so I can keep talking with them. That's how I can make some new friends. My second goal is getting at least 2 green cards. I need to study hard first. Next, I should follow camp rules. Unfortunately,I think the rules are very strict. I should try harder! My final goal is doing homework everyday. When I was in 6th grade, sometimes I forgot my homework. So, I should always write a priority list and never leave things I need to do today until tomorrow. These are my three goals, and I will achieve them. Thank you for visiting my blog.
